Mona Laru
Mona Laru, Organic Nutrition and Wellness Coach, is certified through Thomas Edison State College of NJ in Nutrition for Optimal Health and Wellness and certified in Group Fitness thru American Aerobic Assc (AAAI).
After 10 years in corporate America, Laru opted out of a well-paying job at one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world in order to pursue her passion. Laru spent years learning and observing, with the ultimate goal of becoming the voice of wellness for individuals who really need and want to improve their health regime. Since parting ways with corporate America, Laru’s drive has brought her personal fulfillment and success through partnerships with non-profit organizations. One of the many highlights of her life was the opportunity to meet the Dali Lama.
Laru created Naked Nutrition to offer health and wellness coaching to individuals and groups so that they could improve their lifestyle through eating whole foods, exercising, and meditating daily.
A majority of Laru’s coaching is conducted via online, live platforms (like Skype or Google Voice) and via social media tools. Laru also does in-person consultations for groups and individuals, and gives regular lectures and workshops on health and wellness related topics.
Eating in a healthy way requires knowing the basics in the kitchen, so Laru offers live online and in-person cooking classes. Class options include: Gluten-Free Cooking, 5 Meal Fixes, and Eating Vegetarian 101.
Laru is also a recipe writer and a regular contributor and source for NJ Life Health + Beauty Magazine, New Jersey Namaste News, and Natural Awakenings, as well as several websites, including living pah, a site that empowers patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) to manage their health.
