Jeffrey Davis

Speaker Bio:

Jeffrey Davis is a writer and creativity consultant with a focus on how yoga’s tools and principles increase our self-awareness, perseverance, and imagination so we can live healthier, more productive creative lives.

He is the founder of the Yoga as Muse Programs & Training, and the author of the groundbreaking book “The Journey from the Center to the Page: Yoga Philosophies and Practices as Muse for Authentic Writing”. He also writes the Tracking Wonder blog for Psychology Today, contributes to YogaModern.com, and is Fiction Editor for Tiferet: A Journal of Spiritual Literature.

Jeffrey has studied with numerous yoga iconoclasts, has completed teacher training in Scaravelli Yoga and Bliss Vinyasa Yoga, and is student of Sri TKV Desikachar, with whom he has studied in-depth in South India.

He continues to lead Yoga as Muse workshops at the University of New Mexico’s Taos Writer’s Conference, Kripalu Center, The Omega Institute, The Cape Cod Writer’s Conference, the Writers Lab on the Greek isle of Skyros, Nova Scotia’s Tatamagouche Centre, St. Mark’s School of Texas, and the Block Island Poetry Project, among other places. He teaches at Western Connecticut State University’s MFA in Creative & Professional Writing Program.
