Vyda Bielkus is an entrepreneur, yoga teacher, coach, writer, consultant and speaker. Having graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in Economics, she went on to participate in various work experiences. After stints at Putnam Investments and Kaiser Permanente, she took a risk and joined a high-tech start-up company, where she was mentored by strong entrepreneurs. From that time-building businesses, bringing out the best in others and developing new strategies for old problems became her passion – and an entrepreneur was born. She brought these skills to the exploding market of yoga by developing, as Chief Operating Officer, the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute (BPYI), an internationally recognized yoga brand. During her tenure at BPYI, she facilitated and helped to develop and train the trainer/teacher programs, studios, and yoga retreats.
Vyda is a Yoga Alliance 500-hour certified teacher who inspires students to see yoga and meditation as the ultimate self-care routine on their journey to optimal living and health. She loves helping students explore new aspects of their bodies, minds, spirits, and hearts. In 2008, she co-founded B1 Community LLC, a company offering Health Coach Trainings, Living Healthy Yoga Retreats, and Self-Care Solutions – programs for individuals, groups, and organizations. She is dedicated to helping others see that it is only through self-transformation that the world around us will change.
