Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who can attend the conference?

The conference is open to all around the globe who are interested in yoga, health, and happiness. Some attendees are wellness practitioners such as yoga teachers, coaches, massage therapists, or meditation teachers. Other attendees are avid students of wellness and health, or are new to mind/body practices for wellbeing. You are welcome to join the conference no matter what your level of expertise and experience is.

2. I'm busy that weekend and can't attend the conference. How can I participate?

You can still register for the conference and not miss any part of it. Since this is a virtual conference, each event will be recorded and ready for replay, allowing you to listen to the recordings of each workshop when it fits your schedule. The conference will be open and made available to you for a limited time after the conference has ended.

3. I've never done yoga before, will I still find value in the conference?

Yes. You can learn about yoga at the conference, or choose to take other topics that may interest you more — like nutrition, meditation, or other approaches to cultivating healthy habits of mind and body. The focus of the conference is about your wellbeing, not just about yoga.

4. I have no idea what a virtual conference is. What should I expect?

First, follow the same steps you do in a normal conference — look through the topics, speakers, and agenda to decide what sessions you want to attend. Unlike a traditional conference, however, you can be at two places at once! Since each workshop is recorded, you can listen to one of the sessions that you missed if you had a schedule conflict.

Then, just like you would do in a traditional conference, block out those days and times in your calendar (or if that weekend is booked, block out another time to participate by listening to the recorded conference).

Next, pick a place where you want to listen to the conference sessions. This may be with a group at a yoga studio, at a friend’s house, or by yourself in a room in your own home. You can also mix and match — do some sessions alone and some with a group.

Then download and print any handouts you want from the sessions you’ve picked. This way you will have them ready and it will also give you a moment to review them before the session begins.

When the session you want to join begins, simply pick up your phone and dial the number you’ve been given. This will connect you to the conference. It’s best to dial in to the call and be settled at least five minutes before the session is ready to begin. There will be an opportunity to ask questions in live events during the call or you can connect on the online forum.

There will be some stretching sessions that will be in video format. If that’s the case, just log on to the conference site and link to the video to participate.

5. I'm not good on the computer and do not like technology. How hard will this conference be for me?

We’ve made this conference very easy. Most of the sessions are over the phone. All you have to do is pick up the phone and dial the number to join in the workshop!

There are some stretching sessions that are in video format over the web. If you’ve ever watched a YouTube video, it is as simple as that to view these sessions.

We have a support team available to assist you should the need arise. Just email the team at support@YogaHub.com or call us at 323-662-3225 to get assistance.

6. I'm thinking about becoming a yoga teacher so how will this benefit me?

There’s no simpler or easier way to sample the teaching styles of many different yoga teachers and lineages than through this virtual conference. For a very low cost, and no travel expenses, you can expose your mind and body to expert teachers all living in different geographical areas.

You can also see how other yoga teachers are reaching out in new and exciting ways to bring yoga to others outside of the traditional studio space. You’ll experience how yoga is touching the lives of people who suffer from imbalances physically and mentally. You can experience the virtual way of reaching out into wider spheres that may expand your own boundaries.

7. Are there Continuing Education Credits available?

Not presently at this time, however we are exploring the possibility of this for the future.

8. What is included in my tuition fees?

Included in your tuition is access to all the sessions for the entire three days. For the live events, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions during most the workshops and lectures. For the pre-recorded session, as well as the live sessions, an online discussion forum is available for questions, answers, perspectives, and sharing ideas. All the handouts from every session are also available to you, as are all the stretching and movement breaks built into the event. You will have complete access to listen to or watch the archived sessions for a limited time after the conference is over.

9. What should I bring, or how should I prepare for the conference?

Prepare for the conference by wearing comfortable clothes, as many of the sessions may involve movement. Pick a spot where you won’t be interrupted and can focus on listening to or watching the conference event. Multitasking will definitely decrease your learning! Give your full attention to the experience as you would at a live conference event. You will benefit with this approach.

Have a journal ready so you can capture ideas, insights, or key learning points. Sit in a comfortable chair or spot to listen. Have a blanket or sticky mat ready for movement and floor work. If getting up and down off the floor is a limitation, use a couch or a bed for the supine exercises like yoga relaxation.

Make sure you have printed out your session handouts so you can follow along with the speaker. Remember, you can put a group together or join an existing group to increase your participation.

10. What is the cancellation and refund policy?

All refund requests must be made in writing via our online support center. A refund, minus a $25 processing fee, will be issued for cancellation requests made on or before the first day of the conference.

We guarantee that if, after the final day of the conference, you don’t agree that the event was engaging, we’ll write you a check to refund your tuition cost — no questions asked. We want you to be fully present, fully participating, and fully engaged in the learning process. That’s what makes learning come alive in everyday life. If this conference doesn’t create that type of environment for you, you’ll get your money back.

Refund requests posted after the conference has concluded will be under consideration for a voucher, which will be valid for one year toward a future conference. No refund or voucher will be given for no-shows.

11. Where is the Conference located?

YogaHub’s main office is in California. But the conference is located wherever you are! Since it’s virtual, you can connect into the space from any spot that has a phone or a computer with internet access.

12. Can I register for just one class or session?

Currently, we are only accepting registrations for the full event. However, if you would like to attend a single session or participate for only one day due to a potential schedule conflict, we will be recording the entire event and making it available on our site for qualifying participants.

13. What happens if I can't make it to the conference?

If for some reason you are unable to participate during the three days of the conference, we will have recorded replays available for qualifying participants for a period of two weeks following the end of the conference.

14. Do you have a volunteer/work exchange program?

We are currently accepting applications for volunteers who would be willing to help spread the word about the conference. This can include both online and offline participation such as handing out event postcards, putting up posters, or social media networking via facebook, twitter, and other online venues.

Qualified volunteers will receive a free general admission ticket to attend the conference. Please contact us for further details.

15. How can I help to promote the conference?

We are always honored and inspired by the abundance and generosity of our surrounding communities. If you would like to step up to the plate and assist in some way by helping us spread the word about YogaHub’s Virtual World Yoga Conference, please contact us.
