It guides us on how to live according to the natural rhythms of nature, which include understanding the symptoms of change. Come and learn how it can empower you and your yoga practice, and help you attain the ultimate treatment of imbalances, conditions and improved quality of life.
This workshop will include lectures, discussions and practical applications. You will learn the ABCs of Ayurveda and lifestyle modifications, as well as Ayurvedic Cikitsa for Yoga Therapy and the maintenance of ultimate health and applications for specific conditions. Explore how Ayurveda supports a yoga practice by understanding the elements, gunas, doshas, and philosophic wisdom, including the three causes of disease and the definition of health from the Ayurvedic perspective. Learn how the relationship and practice of Yoga and Ayurveda can provide the ability to transform us from the state of disease to one of health, freedom and happiness. Through practical applications of Ayurveda, yoga teachers and practitioners will learn how to structure an asana/pranayama sequence to balance the individual according to their constitution and condition, making it appropriate for healing and the unlocking of the human spirit.
