When: Wednesday, October 23, 2019

Time: 6:45 to 7:45 am PST

We all know that a lingering illness or an injury is taxing to the body, mind and spirit. But what about when the doctor says you are healed and you still feel this disconnection? Recovering from an illness or injury can take a toll on the body, and can leave you feeling disconnected with yourself long after the physical healing has taken place.

In this class Kat will show you how to use asana, meditation, and pranyama to bring ALL aspects of being back to wholeness. You will also learn the steps of the grieving process and how important it is to grieve for the person you once were in order to rejoice in the person you have become in spite of any physical challenges. You will learn breathing techniques to calm and focus the mind, asana to create grounding, balance, and to prepare for meditation.

Kat will share with you her own story of illness, recovery, and reinvention. And how she lived for years in a self destructive cycle of lonlieness, sadness, and self loathing, And how yoga helped her to break that cycle to become more accepting and loving toward herself and others.

This class is suitable for students of all levels.
