The chakras, our seven astral energy centers, hold the keys to physical and emotional health. They also clearly describe the stages we all follow along our path to spiritual enlightenment and inner freedom. In this workshop, we will become more actively aware of the chakras and of their functions, understanding exactly where they are within us and what they do to make us who we are. But what is even more important, we will begin to experience the reality of chakras rather than just reading or hearing about them. We will learn how to affect the movements of life-force in order to clear and purify the charkas. This will be done through chakra-awakening exercises, including yoga movements, breathing, chanting, meditations, affirmations, and visualizations for each chakra.
We will also learn how our chakras can be understood and worked with in daily life – primarily through attitude shifting. Each chakra has a harmful and a beneficial attitudinal aspect to it, according to the past karma we have stored in it. Switching our energy/life-force out of the harmful patterns into the helpful ones will help to clear or purify our chakras, making our lives much healthier in body, mind, and spirit. The information offered is an enlightening combination of practical healing techniques for the chakras and the ever-fascinating deeper aspects of yoga philosophy.
