Fun with Chair Sun Salutation

Categorie(s): Yoga,

Chair Yoga can be fun and challenging. It offers an alternative to mat yoga that can be just as challenging. Let’s face it, not everyone feels comfortable sitting on the floor. That alone can make yoga inaccessible. However, many postures that are done sitting on the floor can also be done sitting in a chair, with better alignment, less pain and discomfort. Chair Yoga also uses chairs for standing poses, which offers increased stability and often results in better alignment for students who have joint and muscle stiffness.

In this workshop we’ll explore Chair Yoga Sun Salutations, seated and standing. Seated Sun Salutations are energizing and accessible. Using a chair for standing Sun Salutations is great for students who want an alternative to sitting on the floor. You can do these outside while walking or hiking, at the office for a quick pick-me-up, or any time when sitting on the floor is not an option. Join us! You’ll be glad you did.
