It is from the quiet place within, your heart center, the place where your spirit resides, that movement from within originates. Your HeartBreathTM, the movement of your heart and lungs as one, supports and enlivens the expression of your Divine-self in motion. Moving from Within is a sacred experience.
What does this movement look like? There is no one description that fits for it is the uniqueness of each person that characterizes it. It may be done in self space or move out beyond the limits of self-space. It may be random movements, flowing movements, angular movements, curvy movements, at high, medium, or low levels, yoga postures, balances, stillness or a combination of some or all of the afore mentioned. Each time you engage in this form of spiritual expression, it is exactly what it is meant to be. There is never a right or wrong. It is always just perfect.
Integration of body, mind, and spirit happens as you sit in stillness at the completion of your moving from within experience. Notice the after effects of your movement. Do you feel more balanced? Is there a sense of at-easeness within? Do you feel more alive? Has something come to your attention that needs looking at? Just notice. Next, give gratitude to your spirit and your HeartBreathTM then move with intention into the rest of your day or evening.
In this workshop, you will prepare for Moving from Within by first bringing your awareness to your outer, physical body through various warms-ups. After warming up, you will begin to go within through breath work, and finally, experience the expression of your spirit through movement. Once completed, you will sit in stillness and then, if you wish, journal about your experience.
